Imogen Heap - Speak for yourself

If any of you are into your female artists then I recommend Imogen Heap. I first heard of her stuff quite some back but it only recently shes become recognised which is kewl imo cos people with her kind of talent shouldn't be wasted!

I've just recently been listening to her latest album "Speak for yourself" with one of my fav tracks being "Just For Now"

I'm not to sure how to describe her, but its not pop. If any of you have listened to Jem then its on the same kinda wavelength but probably a tad calmer. Well thats how'd I describer her. Anyone that wants to know more....... go here : http://www.imogenheap.co.uk/

Her early stuff was better I think and nothing can touch the Frou Frou album. I really wish they'd record another album, Details was just so sublime & massively underated.

I think after episode 23 of The OC, is when she started to get recognised a lot more. "Hide and Seek" was the name of the track if I remember correctly.

I'm into my female artists like Beth Orton, Michelle Branch, Missy Higgins, all different in ways but unique in others

Yeah true but she also got a lot of recognition after Shrek 2 as Frou Frou did a comedy cover of Bonnie Tyler's "I need a hero". Seriously if you haven't heard the Details album check it out as Imogen's song writing & voice are superb on it.

    Thanks for that

I ant seen Shrek2 yet But Bonnie Tyler sang "I need a hero" quite well, so I can't imagine how good Imogen's cover will sound like but I'm going to assume its a lot better
