Just finished watching the final episode of Series 2 - 'lay down your burdens 2', which OMG is either ridiculous/bold/brave/brilliant or a case of Battlestar Galactica jumping the shark.

Ron Moore's going to have a big job sorting this out in Series 3....

It's good, I like this I also bought the mini-series (from hmv for 3 quid, bargin!), and then decided to get season one (blah dvd for 14 quid).

Watched it all now and need season 2...need to wait for the dvd rls though since it is not shown over here

It's so different from the original series though, and you can't really compare between the two. I still don't like starbuck's character in this new one, it just doesn't fit at all imho..but it's still a good show

Starbucks great in this...at the beginning, when I saw Starbuck being played by a girl, I thought it was a strange decision to say the least, but Katie carries off the role better than any guy could in my opinion. I mean, there can only be one "guy" Starbuck , and thats Dirk Benedict...
She is one of the strongest characters in this. However the acting is strong all round.

As for ending to Season 2, it was somewhat unexpected to say the least, but then, its the unexpected which makes for a truly great show, which it is

The days when one company was behind the likes of A team and BSG
Shame you dont see stuff like that now.
Dirk Benedict aka Starbuck had style using a Cylon to light his cigar

I only wish that he could make an appearance in this BSG.

I've been watching season 1 of this recently, and i love it. Can't wait to get to season 2, i'm probably going to buy the dvd box sets, instead of renting which is what i have been doing, just need to find somewhere doing a decent discount on the retail price.

OMG!!! Season 2: Episode 8 - CHEESY OR WHAT!!!

Worst episode EVER, utter utter crap. What were they thinking?

This is really put a downer on the series for me - its the one when the press follow the crew around Galactica. There has been quite a number of things in S2 that have bugged me, but that was painful to watch.

We have the next 3 (of 6) DVD's on the way from Screenselect - 6 dvd's is a loooong series, i guess they need a filler here and there.

2 Seasons would have been enough IMO, i see this going the way of the Xfiles and what i suspect is going to happen to Lost

I watched it a while back, quite liked it IIRC, they did a similar episode to B5 adn this reminded me of it. I think i guessed the twist at the end, but they did keep me guessing.
