This isn't meant to be an all-out rant about Lost, because I know for some reason a lot of people are damn obsessed with it.
My beef is with the sheer amount of repitition which occurs from episode to episode, where only the middle 20 minutes or so is actually original footage, the rest of it appearing in a previous episode, or scheduled to appear in a later one.
This might be to remind people what's going on, or why they are in a certain situation or whatever, but to me it's the equivalent of talking really slowly to make a 10 minute presentation fill 30, and has made the series unwatchable for me as I stop paying attention when they start replaying stuff that happened in the past, as though I'd forgotten it and not got a clue what's going on.
I don't need them reminding me, when I watch something I generally pay enough attention to it that I don't require constantly being told what's going on, and how they got to where they are. It comes off as slighlty patronising.
Anyone care to disagree?
