Great news but i just hope they can maintain the quality we expect from 24 and not become like the other US dramas that become pants.

Exactly, after the ending to season 5 it sets up season 6 quite nicely :)
Each time you wonder, well what plot can they pull out THIS time?! and each time they deliver.
Was somewhat saddened to see Michelle Dessler & Tony Almeida go, as I felt they could have contributed in later seasons...one of my fave characters was Nina Myers from the 1st 3 seasons...but thats how it works..kill off everyone apart from Jack :)

Without Jack Bauer this program would be nothing, so when he decides to quit then its time to end the long run of excitingness (if thats ever such a word)
I've never seen Jack Bauer swear, except when he goes nuts he says "Dammmmmmm iiiit" in real life I think I'd probably use words that express my true feeling towards the situation! Not Dammit! He's just too polite.
