Chemical Brothers-Push the Button
REM's Greatest Hits(FTW)
Guillemots - Through The Windowpane
Guillemots - Red
And strangely a lot of Coldplay recently... I've never been a fan, but I've found myself listening to their back catalogue a lot.
Best of. If it was a Greatest Hits it would have Shiny Happy People on it, one song most REM fanboys detest.*
Went to one of the recent REM gigs, at Manchester at the Cricket Ground, a couple of week back and it was absolutely epic. First of their gigs I've been to and despite having all their DVDs and seen a lot of their TV appearances in the past decade and a half, I was blown away. Great range from a 25 year back catalogue, and Stipe is so much more charismatic on stage than you get the impression of through a TV or monitor.
Support was good with Guillemots (average in such a big stadium gig, though they'd work well in an intimate indoor gig, and their albums are great) and Editors (sounded quite good, but VERY repetitive live). As support goes it was good, but I was expecting more from both, especially Editors, who I'd been told were much better live.
* Don't mind it personally. Cheesy, bubblegum pop, but it kind of reminds me of me singing along without a care in the world in my early teens.![]()
Pendulum - In Silico
Coldplay - Viva La Vida
I just can't get tired of the Pendulum album....LOVE IT!![]()
Spiritualized - Songs in A&E
