Lots of catching up on new(ish) releases this week![]()
Good choice on Kyuss.
Alice in Chains here too, as well as the most recent Zimmer's Hole album and the Devin Townsend Project - Ki.
Cheers
Haven't listened to them in years but I'm slowly going back through their albums again one at a time, loving it to be fair, what's Ki like? Last I heard of Devin Townsend he was hanging up the guitar and taking a hiatus I'll have to get it if it's up to scratch.

I really wanted to go to one of the gigs on that tour but I've already seen Devildriver this year so I had to be sensible and just get Lamb of God and Machine Head tickets instead, were Behemoth suitably epic?
Annoyingly, Behemoth were quite poor... Which was quite surprising for all three of us :/
They just sounded off their game, which was a pity, as we intentionally showed up for them after trying to miss Suicide silence and whatever other crap support was playing.
I'm thinking that the acoustics of academy didn't lend itself to Behemoth very well (the Ocean Collective were quite poor when i saw them at academy too, and they are normally **** hot), as my bro said they were amazing the last time he saw them at an open air festival.
DevilDriver were suitibly awesome though, i ended up right at the front after the pit opened up

Still, LoG and MH are a good trade offand still on my list to see before i kick the bucket, as well as Rammstein.
But Opeth > Devildriver, in terms of entertainment![]()
I can't comment acurately on Ki yet, I've only managed to put it on the once, and I was pottering about at the time. I've got pretty much all of Townsend's work in his various guises, and his last work, Ziltoid, gets played pretty often.
From what I recall, it was heavier than the likes of Infinity, maybe more like Synchestra. Will really need to give it some more time.
Shame, I've been meaning to see Behemoth for ages, same with Opeth to be fair, they've played loads of festivals I've been to but there's always some kind of horrific clash
This thread has just reminded me, I wonder if DevilDriver actually hold the world record they tried for at download this year...must go check up on that...
Sounds good to me, I'd probably have gone and picked it up at some point anyway to be honest, if nothing else it's nice to hear he's releasing music again![]()
Again?
I know that's what they said in 2007 but this year Dez said they'd actually convinced the folk from Guinness to come down to the festival. I don't care what they say, both attempts were easily the biggest circle pits I've ever seen and quite frankly insane!
Recently been looking back at my rather one dimensional collection from university days - White Zombie....um...
The Ocean - Precambian
Sunn 0))) + Boris - Altar
Any1 here like a bit of Dubstep??? if so i'll post a link to my new tune although it seems very metal here.
GTech - Attack Of The Wormhole..
