    Odd CI during games

When I am playing online games such as cod2 and bf2/sf I frequently get the error message connection interrupted/ connection has been disrupted. I am sure that the problem occurs with my broadband router. My connection is wired in this order; ntl modem- broadband router- wire to my computer.
I know I am not completely losing internet connection as I can still assess web pages and stay online on xfire/msn. But remain CI on the games and I do not get the connection back (I have to disconnect then reconnect on the server). Some servers seem to be fine and others I just get CI after 10 seconds or so being connected to the server (game is not crashing). Broadband router is a asus wl-566gm. I have tried connecting with direct internet (modem- line to pc) and it is fine, I get no CI. ]
Thanks for reading, sorry for being soo long.

well is it not obvious? its your router.

look for any firmware updates, if not get a WRT54G and sell your other router on Ebay

I'd also see if you can get manufacturers drivers for your LAN, sometimes windows default drivers can mess up net connections.
