    What isp?!

After managing to campaign for broadband where I live, we are finally going to get ADSL activated on the 18th of Feb!

I'm looking for a decent isp and I'm more tempted to go with a 1meg line than anything else....

    The tossup is between:-
    • Nildram
    • Eclipse
    • Zen

Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations for a good ADSL isp?

Pipex is only around £23 a month and I've heard nothing but praise about the reliability of the service.

We have Eclipse and have had no problems with it.

    And it is the fastest
    apparently.
Off a good server, speeds of 60KB a sec are usual.

And it is a good price.

Nildram have been my ISP for 512/256 over the past 12 months, and I have absolutely no bad things to say about them. 2 downtimes in the whole year, only one was DSL related

Zen for me - Only snag is you can't do reverse DNS. Static IP as standard and SMTP is allowed.

Another bonus is you are only on 1 month contracts

Could you not get a 3rd part to setup the Reverse DNS?

I've used Plusnet for 2 years and they are absolutely fanatastic.
    One of the fastest Broadbands out there;
    Great customer support
and cheap to £21.99 per month.

I've heard that Nildram is the best, but I can't fault PLUSNET

Exactly why are static ip's good again ?
Having the same ip just makes it easy for repeated attacks..
