I put the question to my ISP but they couldn't help
Can anyone advise?
After losing a dial-up modem to a lightning strike on my phone line 5 years ago I purchased a Belkin surgemaster with telecom protection (both POTS and Ethernet)
Now I know that DSL Max is susceptable to line length (both from the exchange and to the Customer Premises equipment i.e. my router)
I currently have the RJ-11 patch lead plugged into my wall socket and into the surge and then the microfilter plugged into the other RJ-11 and then onto my router as I'm not particularly keen on the idea of linking it directly to the socket, thereby exposing it to unfiltered current.
Do you know of any surge protectors that are known to work particularly well with DSL Max or can you make any other suggestions?
