Is there any way to bypass this?
trying to get to: www.abercrombie.com
sends me to: http://www.uk.abercrombie.com/anf/index.html
quite annoying

same here. im guessing its a site redirect based on the ip. try a proxy in the us to see if it lets you in. otherwise theres nothing you can do. except tell the webmaster to let you see the .com site...![]()
I tried my proxy in NL and it doesn't redirect.
May be try using cache in google, or try go straight into Men (or Women) section and I don't think it redirect you once you're in there.
I suppose some sites just have to make it localized
That is the only thing I don't like about google..

Hey I'm having loads of problems with this too. Does anyone have a US proxy I can use to try and access the site?
Thanks
I don't think Abercrombie Ship international now they have a UK store...
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
List of free proxys: http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html
And i use the FoxyProxy plugin for FF
(\__/)
(='.'=)
(")_(")
Firefox:
Tools -> Options... -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings...
Select 'Manual Proxy Configuration'
Put The IP in the first box, and the port in the second box,
Click Ok and restart firefox,
IE:
Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings
Tick 'Use a proxy server for your lan...'
Put the IP in the first box, and the port in the second box
Click Ok and restart ie
not sure then :\
There is a way to determine the real IP, so I guess that's what they are doing...
i thought proxy was annonymous? thats a bit lame
Proxies are anonymous to an extent, but their are ways of getting the real IP, I had it on my forum a while back (and still would if the author updated it)...
I think the way that abercrombie are using the method is not a good way to use it, I only used it to see if people I had banned where creating another account via proxies...
[EDIT]
Just found out that it has been updated, so I have it again![]()
