BT download limit

Hi, can anyone tell me what happens if i exceed my 5gb download limit? cheers

Im not with BT, but either youll get charged X amount per GB over or your speed gets restricted.

Read the fair usage policy and the terms and conditions of contract, it should tell you, although chances are they'll cap your bandwidth to near 56k modem datarates.

I think they'll warn you first and if you still exceed next month they'll charge you by 30p per GIG and recommend you to move to next package.

although I'm trying to find another isp thats unlimited with extra speed, theyre the fastest ones on cable.

i got over about 5-10GB everymonth but thats mostly downloading between 12AM to 8AM they dont say nothing to me with a 30GB limit i guess im following the fair user policy?
