reduce broadcasts with subnetting / vlans and setting up proper name resolution on the network if thats not being used being used.

3 connected directly to the switch. Main pc 360 and whs beta server. then i have the that connected to my router witch has 2 other computers connected
Its possible that all the clients trying to talk to the home server are using broadcasts to find it.
Unless everything is running really poorly I wouldn't worry about it. You'd to run some network sniffing and find out the nature of the broadcasts, then design an appropriate solution for them which may be time consuming and reasonably pointless![]()

I wouldn't expect 5 devices to cause any real problem, Collisions are part of the Ethernet standard and to an extent - expected, hence CSMA/CD.
If it is causing real problems, ask Moby, he knows more than I!
(Broadcast/Collision Domains brought me down in my CCNA Stage 1 exam, I still cant' get them into my head!)

If you are using a switch, you should not be getting any collisions at all....
ignore me its a hub. just read the front of the device. my bad
