Second hit on Google for "linksys AG241 block site" says the following

The parental filtering that comes with AG241. It lets you create a blacklist of certain websites by keyword or a partial URL address. Website blocking by URL address will block entire domain names or a specific website URL address, But any kid whom knows what a public-proxy does can bypass the filtering easy

At the top of the page a time filter setting allowing you to schedule when you allow your LAN users to have access to the internet. By choice of either blocking all outgoing, all incoming ports and option of blocking both. My understanding of this feature is you’re unable to block just a single service. You’re given choices of which days you want to block access and can choose time periods to block/allow internet access.

Scrolling down to the bottom you have blocked services. This lets you block access to specific service by blocking an entire port range, if your program/service isn’t listed press the add/edit button to adjust settings or add service. In this situation you might want to disable a certain application from talking to the web entirely.
    Does that help?

I've just been trawling through the manual (I must stress I don't have one of these *hugs his vigor 2800* so I'm only going by the manual) and it seems you may have to specify a computer(s) or ip address(es) before entering the URL filter.

Apologies for the splurge of quotes, but from the manual...

The Access Restrictions tab allows you to block or allow specific kinds of Internet usage. You can set up Internet
access policies for specific computers and set up filters by using network port numbers.

    • Internet Access Policy. Multiple Filters can be saved as Internet Access Policies. When you wish to edit one,
select the number of the Policy from the drop-down menu. The tab will change to reflect the settings of this
Policy. If you wish to delete this Policy, click the Delete button. To see a summary of all Policies, click the
    Summary button.

The summaries are listed on this screen with their name and settings. To return to the Filters tab, click the
    Close button.

    • Enter Policy Name. Policies are created from the fields presented here.

To create an Internet Access policy:

    1. Enter a Policy Name in the field provided. Select Internet Access as the Policy Type.

    2. Click the Edit List of PCs button. This will open the List of PCs screen. From this screen, you can enter the IP
address or MAC address of any computer to which this policy will apply. You can even enter ranges of
computers by IP address. Click the Save Settings button to save your settings, the Cancel Changes button
to undo any changes and return to the Filters tab.

    3. If you wish to Deny or Allow Internet access for those computers you listed on the List of PCs screen, click the
    option.

    4. You can filter access to various services accessed over the Internet, such as FTP or Telnet, by selecting a
service from the drop-down menus next to Blocked Services. If a service isn’t listed, you can click the Add/
Edit Service button to open the Port Services screen and add a service to the list. You will need to enter a
Service name, as well as the Protocol and Port Range used by the service.

    5. By selecting the appropriate setting next to Days and Time, choose when Internet access will be filtered.

    6. Click the Save Settings button to activate the policy.
Internet Access can also be filtered by URL Address, the address entered to access Internet sites, by entering the
address in one of the Website Blocking by URL Address fields. If you do not know the URL Address, filtering can
be done by Keyword by entering a keyword in one of the Website Blocking by Keyword fields.

When finished making your changes on this tab, click the Save Settings button to save these changes, or click
the Cancel Changes button to undo your changes.
    Any use?

What type of environment are you using this in.

    Office/home/school/etc

Looking at some of your other posts your trying to do a lot of blocking/monitoring style functions. This router may not be the best solution for you, most so as some googling suggests that the blacklisting per machine checking can start to cause performance issues as patternmatching on a per machine/per site connection isn't this hardwares best function.

    Wow, calm down.

As Ikonia said, it depends on your network. I think you can do it through Group Policy Objects if you have a domain, that would be perhaps the easiest way?

We certainly are a friendly forum, it just saddens me when someone goes off the deepend because someone dared to suggest something that might not be the answer that the OP was expecting, yet will work all the same. Especially new members, not a good way to introduce yourself to Hexus.

The simple way to deal with these people is not to give them our advice. At the end of the day we are the ones spending the time and effort searching for things that they clearly haven't looked for them selves. If I had a reply such as the one listy had after his/her suggestion then I would have made it clear that I would never respond to a question posted by that user ever again.
