    Zyxel router setup

Ive just got my Zyxel P-660HW-D1 from my IT department at work all setup and ready to go. I work from home and they pay for the line and ADSL broadband, so they send me the router all setup.

I plugged it in and went into the router to setup some port fowarding. When I get to the router login page there is just a password box, which is already completed, so I just log in. All i get is the status page!

Why cant I see the setup options on the left column?

As far as I can see I dont even have the option of logging in as an admin, its just a password.

    Is there something Im missing?

On this page it guides you through opening the port, and as you can see theres just a password for router access and then menus down the side, but they arent there on mine!

How can I be locked out as an admin if theres only a password and not different levels of accounts into the router?

As I say, if it's corporate supplied it could have a custom firmware so you can't play with it...

I think may well be the case Splash, I didnt think of that last night.

Can I set up my own router? Ive got a Netgear DG834G lying around somewhere. They've told me the username and password for the net logon. So is it just a case of adding that into my router and setting up the security etc or will they block that somehow

I would imagine it will be configured for a VPN link direct into your corporate network, so setting up alternate hardware might be an issue.
