    netgear or us robotics?

    hello,
i am looking for a new router to replace my bt homehub.
i am near the end of my search.
I have bt broadband (adsl) 8mb
    us robotics
    netgear
    the netgear modem/router is £73
the us robotics modem/router comes with a usb dongle and is £62
which would be better my internet stated above?
i just need a router/modem that is fast connection speed and doesnt drop connection.
i would update to the lastest firmware on eiether on them once purchased.
when looking at reviews its normaly 50/50 bad and good reviews.
so i wanted to know in your enperiences is better out of the two and why
    thanks in advance

From personal experience USRobotics SOHO gear is of higher quality than the Netgear SOHO range.

That said I have used neither of the above specifically so....

Personally I would go for the netgear but from other user's experiences go for the DG834G (NOT GT) as that one has been known to crash!

I can personally vouch for the reliablilty of the DG834G as that's what I'm using.

The Netgear DG834G with matching USB adapter is £46.68 at ebuyer after using google checkout too (works out cheaper!!!)
    Woohoo now Assistant Manager!

    hello,
thanks for the responses so far.
i have now decided to look at the zyxel routers.
    as follows:
    ZyXEL Prestige 662HW-D1
    ZyXEL Prestige 662HW-T1
what is the advantage of buying the D1 over the T1?
i can get the T1 with a dongle basically anywhere for around £38
but it costs £70 for the D1 model.
i dont want to pay the extra for the D1 when there is no point.
i know the D1 has a nicer interface and also displays how much of its cpu and memory is being used.
