Free web space with no adverts and building advice

Is it possible to get free web space with no adverts? I have a domain name already but I don't have any webspace that doesn't have annoying adverts.

I do know some html and used to program using Notepad a few years ago, but now I'm lazy and there's too much I don't know. What programs do you use to build your site?

    Any help would be appreciated.

dreamweaver is probably your best bet for page creation now, seems most popular by far.

If you search in google there are a large number of places offering free web space, try here?

It seems decent providers of advert-free space are a rarity nowadays

Doesn't your ISP provide you with any?

It's not in my name, so I don't wanna use it. Besides, I'd rather have my own...
