Disconnects

Hey all, im just wondering what are causing my disconnects. Sometimes i dont have any for a while, and then sometimes in the space of half and hour i cant keep the thing connected for more than a minuite. Also if i d/c and look at the availible networks i can connect to, my one is usualy Excelant but as soon as i connect it goes down to low.

Router is one ive never really heard of which is Orego, and i have no idea whatthe card make is.

Any help or advice would be great.

I take it your using wireless from your computer to router.

Try changing wireless channels to 3 or 8 as these are not usually default channels other routers in your area would use. Also make sure theres nothing hefty that would cause interference, ie router need a microwave/DECT phone basestation/Mains fuse box etc.

Other than that test your machine connected to the router via cable and see if it drops out, if so you could have a line issue with your broadband which you would need to raise with your ISP.
