use the tftp utility to upgrade it - I had the same issue with my 2800 a while back and it got stuck in tftp mode. Using the utility to flash it rather than the web interface fixed it
EDIT http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/kb_...h.html#reflash might help

I get time-outs from the bloody app
I bet your router is stuck in TFTP mode... Are the first 2 lights on the left hand side blinking together?
Have you changed the ip address of the router? Does your router perform DHCP for your network? If so you may have to set your machine to have a static ip (as it'll be using a 169.x.x.x address otherwise) in order to access the router

Spot on - took it off DHCP - Removed windows Firewall - did it and it worked
Cool - it had me flummoxed for ages when I had the same problem.
Thanks for that
Yes, a Draytek stuck in TFTP mode is a frightening experience. That happened to me a while back on my 2600We and I logged a call with Draytek support who talked me through fixing it.
Anyway, i've tried the 2.7.2 firmware on my 2800G and it appears much as before in terms of performance.
Just had a look at the release notes http://www.draytek.co.uk/support/dow...adme_v2800.txt
Interesting commen t about the settings for BeThere, and also a link to alternaticve firmware for those experiencing difficulties with marginal line conditions.
It looks as if there are additional options in the web interface too (looking at the FAQ, although they may have been introduced in an earlier releas However I am still running the original firmware that came with the unit when I bought it 18 months ago.
