    Wireless ADSL Moderm/Router Recommendation

    Hi,

I had up until the other day a Netgear DG834N, over the last few weeks I have had several issues with the wireless settings messing up on it so my laptop and consoles have been unable to connect.

Each time I have had to factory reset to get it working but has only worked for a few days and then problem reoccurs.

During some decorating the router was dropped, still works at present but something heavy inside has broken loose by the sounds of the noise it makes when tipped.

So I am looking for a replacement, something that is stable, providing both wired and wireless connections and good security for locking down the network with good range.

Can anyone recommend a good, solid replacement?

That'd be the ones. Cheaper bought from Seg who are the distributor of Draytek kit in the UK

Make sure you have the latest firmware on the draytek though especially if your on max. There have been issues with the 2800 and max.

Saying that I have had my 2600 for 3 years nerly now and I love it rock solid and so many customization options

    Hi,

I ordered the Draytek 2800VG and high gain aerials last night and they arrived this morning pre 9:30 - all up and running in a couple of minutes and the firmware flashed to the latest. So far so good, thanks for the recommendation.
