    Wireless Cable Router Help

I just bought a Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti WZR-G300N Wireless Router & Access Point and a wireless pci card for my 2nd Pc. So on my main (1st) pc that is hardwired to the router is where I do my gaming and when the 2nd pc (wireless) is browsing or whateva I get lag on my 1st pc.

This wud be fine if i just browsed or whateva but it does make some real lag on my games and it does become unplayable. Is there nothing I can really do to prioritize the bandwidth or whateva so that I cud still play games online while the 2nd Pc is browsing. I did see this D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router (DIR-655) which has QOS which apparently can priorotize certain things like games so that there is no lag. Does this actually work or is it just a gimmick? Or does anyone know of a better Wireless Router that can have 2 connections and yet still play an online game without lagging out. Any suggestions wud be great thanks

QoS and traffic shaping on routers doesn't just work, it works extraordinarly well when setup right, I've run it on my own linux router for ages and I can't say how pleased I am with it. So no, it's no gimmick.

So it wud be possible to play an online game whilst the other Pc is browsing. Bandwidth is not a problem as Im on 20mb. its just the lag situation playing online games. Are there any other ways of going about it besides gettin a Router with QOS.

bear in mind your lag issues might not be anything to do with your router. I'm on VM 20mb and my connection is going down the tube.

Fair enough, its just when the 2nd pc is not on the net I dont get any lag what so eva on my main pc. Ive never had any lag issues before so like I said its just when the 2nd pc is browsing or doin something on the net that it goes pear shaped.
