I've had a play with it using my scantalk SIP account and it works fine
Took me a few attempts to get it working, but once it was okay.
Now I've reverted back to my software phone on my PC as the routers nowhere near my room.

does, anyone know if the Linksys ADSL2MUE modem will work with Be?
if not, would it be best to let my current router (WRT54GL) handle the wireless? considering the beboxes reportedly flaky wireless
When i connected in January i couldn't get more than 2mb down, when talking to customer support to resolve the issue i had a very pleasurable experience. Saying that my previous isp was Nildram and if their customer support answered the phone within 2 hours it was a miracle, so could be a case of swapping awful for slightly better.

i believe its best to either use your current router for wireless as you say (yes, the bebox is not so good for wireless reliability OR signal strength), or pick up either a Netgear DG834G or a DG834N, these use the chipset that that a Be connection loves, my DG834N actually syncs slightly faster than the bebox.
on the other hand my D-Link DSL-G624M, which i am using for wireless (because its ruddy brilliant) until i get a wireless N adapter has problems getting anything like the bebox speed even though its ADSL2+ certified, this is true with a good lot of dsl modems so be careful and do your research if your buying one special.

I've got a DG834G and have just been using the Be Box router for ethernet and wireless connections - mainly because I haven't had time to try anything else - so it's worth me trying the Netgear then?
I seem to be getting 8Mbit off an 8Mbit connection so I'm quite happy as it is! But "if it ain't broke don't fix it" doesn't always hold with us IT tinkerers does it...

if its working fine for you just leave it. your capped at 8meg with Be Value which i presume is what you have, so there's no way your going to see an increase. your already getting an 8meg connection that is actually 8meg and not may people can say that
sounds like it would be hassle for nothing in your case. as long as the bebox is reliable for you just keep using it

I have tried both DG834G(v3 with latest firmware) and BeBox and from that experience it seemed BeBox always synced faster and connection was more solid and reliable.
