Right, order's in with Be, the quidco and free connection offers sealed the deal..
Bye-bye Virgin ADSL, I will miss your shambling corpse not at all...
i signed up with BE the other day, my line goes active on the 19th. soon i will never have to deal with pipex again
Indeed That's why I called them their spanish name
Anyone on O2 mobile here?
Go and log into your account online and see the new tab that's been added to the website there.
Yeap - you've guessed it .... O2 Broadband. I wouldn't be suprised if BE got rebranded within the next few months.
As long as they keep the speeds the same and the service as excellent as ever they can be called anything they want

Tiggerai
Maybe this little link might help you
Be & line length
Maybe this might assist you in getting Be installed.
Won't help until I can get my RF issues on my line fixed really...
But good to know, I would only get about 1.3Mb on my ADSL though as I live in MK and the whole infrastructure is shot. Our exchanges are overloaded already so I wouldn't be surprised if I couldn't get Be at all.
I'll give it a go once my Pipex contract is up.
grrrrrr, signed up the other week and only got £24 on quidco
Activation on the 24th... I'm actually excited about broadband for the first time in years!
I have a Speedtouch 585v6 which is apparently ADSL2 capable - does anyone have any experience of using this on Be?
Looks good. I might go with be* when I move house in a couple of months. I have Zen at the moment who are superb and dont want to trade good for bad and a little more line speed.
Anyone know if the Zoom X6 wireless router works instead of the be supplied router as I would rather use it as I have only just purchased it.
I just got my quidco notification. They are only giving £24 even though their listing says £55. shame
edit: just read this on the Quidco Site,
PLEASE NOTE: This can take 1-2 months to update to the full £55 in your account. It will initially track in at £24, so please be aware that it will update and you have no cause for worry.

If you've got an ADSL2+ supporting router then the following settings might work to allow you to use your existing router on Be ;
Code:Select ETHoA or Routed Ethernet over ATM or 1483 Bridged connection There is no login information required Encapsulation : LLC VPI : 0 VCI : 101 MTU: 1500
I hope this helps
