    Networking on vista

    Can anyone tell me how i can let my dad and bro access my computer over our network without creating accounts for them? I am on vista and they are on XP

    Any other information about setting me up on the network when im using vista and they are on XP would be great

    How do you mean? Should be possible to set a folder to be visible on the network to share some files, if that's what your after.

    It always asks for a password and i dont know how to disable this

    Give everyone the same account details on each machine and set up permissions appropriately for the machines, blanket disabling password protection isn't a great idea.

    True, but for a small home LAN it's less dangerous than crossing the street..

    Thanks guys. Still asking for a password so think i will just set up some accounts. How do i go about this?

    Life was so much easier in XP but for some reason i cant seem to go back to it.
