could this be an MTU issue? what is it set to now?
had some odd issues with AOL and MTU, no upload, no connection to MSN etc etc.

in general MTU should be 1500 I think (AOL seems to like 1400)
download SG TCP Optimizer
http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
post your results.

Download Dr Tcp and set your MTU to
Link with more MTU settings on http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/tweak2.htm1458 BT original suggested setting.
There isn't a defined optimum MTU value for ADSL (AOL being the exception where anything other than 1400 will give problems with https amongst other things). I found that 1452 worked best for me, at my parents place 1458 worked best but on spare ADSL line in the office be get better results with 1500.
Hi Guys
Largest MTU:

Couldn't determine largest possible MTU due to packets being lost.
You might want to try a different URL

if you download the download SG TCP Optimizer, like I said before, it will tell you.
