    Static IP's

    How can i give the pc's connected to my network a static IP? I mean i no how to do it, but when i give them all a static ip's they work until i restart them and then it all goes T*** up! Im guess its to do wi my router and and the fact i dnt hav a static ip for my internet....

    The fact your router doesn't have a static address is irrelevant.

    how do i no what dns server address to give it?

    It's usually the same as your router's IP address. For example, my router has an ip address of 192.168.0.1, which is my gateway address. It's also the address I give as my PC's DNS server.

    I've cracked it now i think my problem was that i wasn't adding a DNS server, thanks for your help fat jez
