Hi,
I have a long piece of CAT5 running from my front door's phone socket to my router in the living room. The RJ11 connector on one end is loose and unreliable so I plan to replace it.
If I'm unable to tell what order the cables need to be inserted into the new connector (left to right) by looking at the current connector, does anyone have a guide?
For example:
Left to right - Brown, Orange, Multi-coloured, Polka dot, etc...
It would be really useful as I only have one RJ11 connector so cannot afford to get it wrong. Well I can, but it would be inconvenient :-p
Thanks.
laze.
Ps. I'm going to have to look what cables have been used on the other end and wire up the new connector in reverse order, aren't I? :-|
