    Bethere internet problem

    Hi, in short words, my bebox wont allow me to connect to the internet at all dispite all the broadband connections such has atm_br_bridge having green ticks besides them.

    what happened is that i was playing around with the port forwarding stuff under toolbox >Game & Application Sharing and when i created and manualy entered and aplied a new port range for a new application, the bebox went crazy, adding loads of port ranges into the new applicaion i was creating.

    the bebox then froze so i turned it off and thats when the nightmare started. all settings was erased and i had to set up the connection again. now i followed the guidelines from the letter BE sent me and i cannot get a connection to the internet at all

    the settings that Be sent me (worked before) are
    static wan IP= x.x.xx.
    Wan netMask = 255.255.248.0
    gateway ip = 87
    prim dns server = 87.19
    sec dns server = 87.194

    i tried the above values as well has selecting "Static 3 data ports" connection mode and it doesnt work at all.

    you could try setting it back to Dynamic ip address, this should ensure you have the correct DNS and gateway. Either of those being inicorrect is going to cause you issues.

    Re: Bethere internet problem

    Use the Cd that came with the Bebox, it lets u reset it to default values, you only use staic ip if you have BE pro or have paid extra for one, otherwise use dynamic ip. If you like i can pm my settings to you?.!

    Re: Bethere internet problem

    You don't use different settings for a single static IP, use the CD to restore the defaults. You don't need to touch any WANs ettings unless you're using a different router or setting up multiple static IP's.
