Question which wireless adaptor to get???

    Hi,
I am going to build a computer with the following specs,
    Antec he430
    8800gts
    antec nine hundred
    hitach 320gb
    e4300
OCZ special ops pc6400 2gb ram
    Asus p5k

I currently own a Linksys wireless-g access point 802.11g and model WAP54G i need a compatible wireless usb adapter capable of maintaining good speeds for gaming and downloading. It also needs to be able to connect from a fair distance ( router downstairs computer upstairs). It would be preferred if i could buy it from scan.
    Any help is much appreciated

Re: which wireless adaptor to get???

how much is the p5k may be worth paying the extra instead of getting extra wireless.

that way you get a better board with built in wireless.

looks like its 74.95 at scan

the p5k-e which has wireless is £94.12 it probably has a few other extra features also.

scans site says it is in stock but I have no trust at all in their stock system.

Re: which wireless adaptor to get???

i would go for a 108mbps wifi router & card..

54mb wifi is really slow in my opinion.

and if you can i'd go for a pci wifi card instead of usb, the performance i have found is much better.
