email about my domain name, not sure if it is fake...

i just received an email from, what is supposed to be godaddy, however i am not sure if it is fake or not.

it says

It's that time of year again. ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) annually requires that all accredited registrars (like Go Daddy) ask their domain administrators/registrants to review domain name contact data, and make any changes necessary to ensure accuracy.

now, i am new (relatively, anway) to this whole domain name business, it also gives me a link to what appears to be godaddy, however of course, they could have registered a domain name with Cyrillic characters

so, is this a rather good spoof? or true?

Don't click any links in the email. Go directly to their website and log into your account as normal. I'm guessing they will post something there as well if it is right.

I can imagine ICAN requesting this as most people forget to update their details over the life of the domain.

thanks for that... you were right, they had about it on the godaddy website.
