what do I have to do to link a Win98 PC to a network that contains XP machines? I'm having trouble trying to do it so I'm wondering if anyone knows just how it should be done...
cheers!

What are you having trouble with?
You enable file and printer sharing on both machines, ensure they're on the same workgroup and it'll work.

Create a network bootdisk from one of the XP machines (Gives you the option after running the wizard), Its also elsewhere but I cant remember where !
Then just run the disk on the 98 machine (Once its fully booted into Windows) and it sets it all up for you (It looks like the actual wizard on XP when you run it)
ah ok, i see, I'll give that a go now.
yeah, I was trying it wrong then - cheers
