    wireless

    Hi,
I've got no phone line so am trying to get broadband on the cheap. Have got a family member who is approx 800m away who will let me use their wireless.
Am thinking of either a 15dbi or 24dbi parabolic dish. It has to go through some trees (would otherwise be direct line of sight) so I want to make sure it's powerful enough to do this but equally don't want to splash out if it won't reach....does anyone have any experience of this..? Is it likely to work?

    Thanks.

PS - I'm planning to connect it to a DG834G.

    Re: wireless

Surely it would be cheaper to just get a phone line installed.
I just had to, BT charged £129.99 the robbing sods....but it still is the cheaper option.

The line rental alone will cost more than the wireless kit. The broadband is free for me if I use the wireless. I recon under £100 for some kit off of ebay....
