    [noob] need help in networking

having troble to connect PCs up to network.

the picture above thats how i set up my PCs

once is all set up all the pc says limited or no connectivity but one of the PC connected to internet only and other doesnt work tryed to and install the TCP/IP ip address in and default gateway etc ips'. right after that all pc says it connected on the internet connection page from control panel.

but still webpages doesnt work tryed with a netgear switch as well the model is "Netgear ProSafe 8-Port 10/100" but it still doesnt work after all.

please guys please point me to the right direction to set up this network and i really tired of mum yelling me because once all set up it only works with 1 pc (random) so i will have to unplug all the cables and plug the PC ethernet cable direct to the modem then unplug and plugging back in so it can recognize my mum PC and get connected if not it will just say limited or no connecvity again.

Hi there, I would like to try to help but I cannot quite understand the issue? Perhaps if you can explain what each machine does or does not do again?

Sounds like you may not have NAT enabled and therefore the first pc which manages to connect to the modem is being allocated your external IP address.

Can you open a command window in each (start, run, cmd,ok) and type ipconfig and report back on here what the ipaddress, subnet mask and gateway are for each pc?

what is the model of the virgin modem and I'll try and find out what you need to do to enable NAT.
