Need help choosing a Web Host.

    Hi there,
Having a bit of a problem at the moment...

Basically i have 5 websites, 4 of them use 30gb bandwidth but one of them uses about 400gb bandwidth. The site that uses 400gb bandwidth a month is centainly on the UP so i'd like a bit of head room for it as it expands, also it uses a mahoosize 712mb ram on average

The problem im facing is that is now getting very costly as im running the plans on different hosting packages...its also beggining to be a bitch to manage

Can anyone find me a decent web hosting package where i can put all my websites under one roof. The main features i'd need is it has to be Linux based, ity must have MYSQL support, and preferlably running Cpanel.

The budget is about £40 a month for a hosting package.

The other option i suppose would be to build a server and send it to BlueSqure data centre, but this would cost me £55 for the server hosting there

    Cheers
    Ap0llo

Where are your users? This might be one of those things where leveraging the exchange rate could help you out. If you look at e.g. Micfo's packages (I think these might be closest to what you need) you can get quite a lot for £40/$80 per month.
I only have a few small things with them but they've been very good and responsive. However there are so many US hosts that there's always a good deal on somewhere.

Re: Need help choosing a Web Host.

I would recommend the two companies I hosted server with:

Leaseweb: LeaseWeb: Domains - Webhosting - Dedicated Servers - Colocation - Streaming - DSL
Exportal: [Europe] Windows specials C2D E6600 from 139 Euro C2Q Q6600 from 175 Euro. FREE SETUP - Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet

Exportal are based in Germany and Leaseweb in Netherlands

    Both are month-to-month contract.
I would avoid getting a server in USA, assuming your customers are mostly based in Europe.

If your site is using 712MB of Ram, there is definitely something wrong with your Apache configuration. Also I think linux will use as much ram as available so it is not as bad as you think.
    Workstation 1: Intel i7 950 @ 3.8Ghz / X58 / 12GB DDR3-1600 / HD4870 512MB / Antec P180
    Workstation 2: Intel C2Q Q9550 @ 3.6Ghz / X38 / 4GB DDR2-800 / 8400GS 512MB / Open Air
    Workstation 3: Intel Xeon X3350 @ 3.2Ghz / P35 / 4GB DDR2-800 / HD4770 512MB / Shuttle SP35P2
    HTPC: AMD Athlon X4 620 @ 2.6Ghz / 780G / 4GB DDR2-1000 / Antec Mini P180 White
    Mobile Workstation: Intel C2D T8300 @ 2.4Ghz / GM965 / 3GB DDR2-667 / DELL Inspiron 1525 / 6+6+9 Cell Battery

Display (Monitor): DELL Ultrasharp 2709W + DELL Ultrasharp 2001FP
    Display (Projector): Epson TW-3500 1080p
    Speakers: Creative Megaworks THX550 5.1
    Headphones: Etymotic hf2 / Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 Pro

    Storage: 8x2TB Hitachi @ DELL PERC 6/i RAID6 / 13TB Non-RAID Across 12 HDDs
    Consoles: PS3 Slim 120GB / Xbox 360 Arcade 20GB / PS2

Do you know how to manage a server? If you do then I can recommend colo with rapidswitch - Managed Dedicated Servers, Network and Colocation Services at RapidSwitch which is a really excellent price. Exportal (as mentioned by arthur) are good for dedicated servers, they resell netdirekt servers at lovely prices - [Europe] Server clearance - free Directadmin / Windows 2003STD or 10% off - Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet .
If you're not good with Linux then you'll want a managed VPS with that much resource use. I can't make any recommendations myself but you should have no problem finding a UK provider with your budget.
