    3 mobile broadband - experiences?

Has anyone used this? Currently using virgin 2mb which is ample for my needs (just web browsing) but due to the amazing customer service recieved have cancelled this and am looking for a new isp that doesnt require a landline. What are your experiences with these portable usb modems?

    1.1mbps max speed. High lag.

Does not always attain the highest speeds - it depends on network capacity at the cell tower you are connected to.

Above pertains to the T-Mobile WebNWalk Pro.

Have not used 3 networks offering, but I dont see it being much different as the technology is the same.

Re: 3 mobile broadband - experiences?

I can't comment on 3 mobile broadband, but the t-mobile equivelant is fantastic.

I was down in glasgow for chistmas and the branch of my family i was staying at don't have wireless so i was using my Vario III for internet access.

Signal was a constant two bars, but web browsing, email and MSN was perfectly acceptable. A friend even sent me a 12MB video over MSN (of him on his lifeboat), it took a while, but that could have beenhis upload and MSN being slow as well.

I could happily use Web'n'Walk as my only internet access if I had to. The only thing that irks me is t-mobile proxying all the graphics and re-compressing them. You need to Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+r to reload them to get the original.
