Right now i am on BT. Our contract has been up for ages so we're looking to switch. My closest exchange is Balmoral which according to google is exactly 5 miles away (by car).
Now, as far as i'm aware, we're at the limit where you can/cannot get broadband, The Speedtouch didn't work, the voyager didn't work so we opted for a D-link router and when we decided to install wireless are now using a netgear router. The BT homehub just about works in our area so that gives you an indication.
The basic statisics the routers throwing at me are as follows:
Now i know there are ADSL2 trials going on in my area and for somereason they decided not to involve the customer who had the hardest time getting the broadband going (infact, we set up most of the areas broadband)
My question is, If i switched to say Sky broadband, would i notice any increase in speed or reliability. Reliability is the main one to be honest. I've heard i can discconect my ring wire from my phone box and thats supposed to cut down on interference, does this work?
Thanks in advance
