    VoIP phones

Looking to get my parents a VoIP phone as a belated christmas present (they have been in Angola since early December).

    Any one got any recomendations?

What I'm looking for is one that plugs straight into the router or connects to their wireless network and behaves like a regular cordless DECT phobe.

As easy to use as possible please. I won't be there to set it up

I don't use Skype (hate the software) but do have an account. My brother does use it though so a Skype compatible one is probably the best idea.

    Thanks all

    Re: VoIP phones

I am reasonable happy with my Belkin skype phone.

As you say direct wifi connection (no need for a PC). So very convenient. Seems reasonably tolerant of wifi signal quality, better than my Sony and as good as my Tosh.

The quality quality is excellent - better than a mobile.

The two issues I have are poor battery life about 3 days and it's tendency to go to sleep.
