    Re: Zen

I'm peterb and I've been a Zen user for 5 years. I was initaially attracted by an offer where they waived the connection fee, but still only had a one month notice requirement to leave. After that I was kept hooked by the consistently good speeds, and the outstanding CS and static IPs.

    Re: Zen

I am also ex-Zen and I was tempted away by unlimited usage, free hardware and a (much) cheaper product..

I wish Zen would sort out some of these issues because they were far and away the best dealer going, the product was always spot on. I would go back if they would offer some of the new 'LLU' gear and less restrictive usage caps.

    Re: Zen

I am a long-term Zen user too and fortunately I remain on the unlimited package as I didn't 'upgrade' because I'm stuck on 512 kpbs so there was no point. I like Zen, they're a bit expensive though.

    Re: Zen

Yeah, I really regretted moving on to the 8mb Max product, what is the point in all of that speed if you hit your download limit in a couple of days? 50gb sounds reasonable enough but if you play a lot of mods or watch a lot of 'web TV' suddenly your 2 gb away from your cap and there are 2 weeks left in the month!

I was better off on 2mb unlimited, I should have stuck with that really. That being said I am now getting 16mb and unlimited usage from Sky and it costs less than a third of what Zen cost.

    Re: Zen

Hi. My name's Tigs and I'm an ex-zen user who is slowly being tempted back.

Never entirely sure why I left, but with a whole year of hell from Pipex I'm evetually gonna switch back

My last 3 houses have zen, my 'rents have been on them for years from my recommendation without a glitch. Why oh why do I not listen to myself?!

Although the usage caps are a bit annoying, as they used to be unlimited.

    Re: Zen

Im kopite and i`m an ex-zen user and an ex-Zen employee

Left as they wanted to charge me full price for the BB when I left Now with Sky and loving it.

Loved the Zen service though. In the 3 years I was with them for BB I only had problems when i first started which were fixed by BT ditting an NTE-5 face plate and after that the line was solid

    Re: Zen

My brother has been with zen for about 4 years now, i dont think he ever changed his package so hes still paying the old price

Reckon he should ask to be upgraded to the new packages? Or were the unlimited deals actually better back in the day before traffic shaping etc?

    Re: Zen

Another happy Zen user here. I know it's expensive, but... meh

Most months I don't even use half my cap anyway.

Their UK based tech support was excellent. I was having real trouble connecting, and they bent over backwards to help me out. Turns out it was my Netgear router that was intermittently faulty. Once I'd got the replacement back from Netgear, everything worked fine.
