I'm having severe problems with wireless pci network cards. I bought a linksys Wireless-G PCI adapter http://www.linksys.com/products/prod...id=36&prid=520 and when I attempted to install the drivers it seems to all go fine and then it came up with an error saying the drivers couldn't be installed because the data was invalid. So I uninstalled it tried again from scratch and got the same result, I dled the most recent drivers from the website and tried using them and I still have the same problem although it asks for the orginal CD before I get the error.
So earlier i went into town and bought Belkin's G version wirless network card http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProdu...%2Etworking%2F and guess what? The same thing happens.
So after a couple of weeks of trying everything i can think of including switching the card betweeen pci slots, uninstalling the drivers, reinstalling them and several calls top tech support I need your help.
I'm using windows XP if that helps, tech support told me that as it's happened with cards from two manufacturers it#'s a problem iwth my pc but refuse to tell me how or why that may be the case as that's not to do iwth their hartdware but my system. So what in my system may be causing the problem, I suspect the original CD may have been corrupted slightly and by installing froim that it's messed up the registry so the computer refuses to install these drivers correctly.
Is this possible? Or what else could it be? IRQ conflicts? If you have any ideas let me know along with how to fix them please asap, i neeeeed to be able to get my pc working on the network or I will go mad
