    Question Internet connections randomly dies

Am on Virgin Cable with a Netgear FVS114 router. All good so far. Sometimes, however, when I take Vista out of the hibernate mode, the connection is just dead. Pulling the plug on the router generally kick starts my internet connection again. Also, at random intervals the connection sometimes dies.

Any ideas what it could be? I had similar problems with a Linksys router, which is why I bought the Netgear in the first place. Now, however, I am beginning to think it's maybe not the router...

    Thoughts greatly appreciated!

    Re: Internet connections randomly dies

errrr...this is no doubt a very stupid question, but how do i get into that newsgroup? the page you linked to suggests using outlook express or e.g. google groups. as to outlook express (a) i hate it and (b) it doesn't seem to be installed on my vista system at all.

tried it via google groups, but that doesn't really seem to work.
