I was thinking to get a broadband.
Got non-active BT line at home.
Do have to pay separately for bt line if get DSL from ISPs like eclipse or zen?
Maybe Bluyonder would be better deal with included phoneline?
any help appreciated.
TIA

by is a better deal all round mate
If you can get BlueYonder, then go for it every time IMO.
Only 128 upload makes it tad naff for many types of p2p - specifically thinking of bittorrent. Also the cable companies are some of the first providers to talk of possibly throttling and bandwisth limits.Originally posted by steve threlfall

So unfortunately I would say the exact oposite of a better dial all round unless you are specifically gunning for 1024/256 instaed of 600/128. (or is BY/Telewest still 512/128?)
by aren't talking of throttling bandwidth m8.....
Not yet at least!!
Beer is life, life is good!
I have both ADSL from BT and Blueyonder and personally I'd keep my 1mb Blueyonder any day over the ADSL. Cable is so much eaiser to set up and maintain over ADSL. I hate the BT software, I hate having to install the Windows XP SP1 every time my mom has to have her PC formatted (quite a lot as she messes with stuff that she doesn't even know about). I don't see the point in 2mb cable atm, but the 1mb service from blueyonder is the best in the UK imo.
