Make sure you have an active connection to the Internet via an ISP or a direct connection.
Your client may not be the most recent version.
You may be able to play the game with your current client.
Check http:\www.uo.com for help on resolving patching issues.
Click OK to play the game or Cancel to abort.

so ok, i'll try pinging/trace routing the servers........ (using a client program.. UOtrace)

ok right.. i can ping/trace route both.. yeah theres alot of "dead" servers, but there probley redirecting only right? ... so whats the deal? can someone try pigning/tracing the servers to try and confirm where the problem is.. cause i wonna get this fixed do you think NTL/my comp/something could be blocking the IPs or possibly the port 8888? i'm running a firewall but its never effected it before and i've tested with it off and on and no difference.

    thanks for any help, James

(p.s, theres also a second patch server which is sometimes trys to connect too : 159.153.226.9 , can still ping/trace that one but still fails to connect)

    thanx

ok that trraceroute isnt very clear.. i'll post a sceeny

well it looks like you can route to the server just fine.. those nodes returning
'* Unknown Host * 0.0.0.0 16 0ms' are simpily routers configured not to respond to dead ttl requests to prevent its information being reveiled by trace route programs, I suggest trying to use telnet to connect to the server and see if that reveils the problem, i suspect your isp or some firewall is blocking access to certain ports.

try 'telnet 159.153.197.91 8888' and paste what you get from it.
