    Question Help....

hard to explain but I'll try... basically my grandparents have a huge garden and have wireless at their house and now I've got my laptop i'd like to use their internet when down the bottom of their huge garden wirelessly... it'd be well nice to be sat out there sippin on a nice cold drink in the sun browsing and doing my work etc etc...

so I was thinking if i buy one of those moddable linux flashable linksys routers? is it the wrt? and make it a bridge? i could bounce the signal to down the garden right... as they have a summerhouse etc down their so i could plug the router in down there and bridge the one in the house to give me wifi for my lappy down the garden right...

how do i do it and what firmware and what router? links would be fantastic...
    cheers

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

If they've got mains power in the summerhouse and a roiuter with an ethernet port in their main house.

You could use Homeplugs to get the network down to the summerhouse and then plug in a wireless access point in the summerhouse at the other end of the homeplug and get the wireless down there that way.
