    Networking 3 computers

    Hi.

My computer is using the NF7-S onboard ethernet (192.168.0.1), and i have put an Intel 10/100 card in (192.168.0.4 -> gateway is 192.168.0.1) this is so i can connect two computers from mine.

    My brothers is at 192.168.0.2
    and the other is 192.168.0.3

My brothers can connect to the internet through mine fine.

It is the second computer that is causing the problem - it is runnning win98 (the others are win2k.) the computer (0.3) can seeem to ping mine (0.4) however i cant ping it, but i can see it in network neighbour hood.

Can anyone suggest away to allow my computer to ping the other one?

    Thanks
    Will

sorry if it isnt very clear what is going on...

not too clear whats happening here....
I'm Assuming you machine is running ICS or something similar, however, how are the other 2 machines connecting to yours? You've one port and two machines connecting to it! Does the intel card connect into a hub or something similar?
However, moving on, things to try.....

On the 98 machine check the workgroup name - 98 defaults to MSHOME whilst 2k defaults to workgroup. They should all be the same.
Firewalls are the next thing to check - if you can ping one way, you should be able to ping the other! Make sure the 98 machine isn't running a Personal firewall.

well, its just he mentions 192.168.0.1 being the gateway - now in networking terms, thats the nic that's going out to a different subnet (ie. the net!)
