    Angry Messed Up Modems!

    Hi
I got a real situation on my hands here.
I recently formatted my new machine (which has been modded and upgraded from my original off the shelf machine) and now I've found that my dial-up modem doesn't work. This means I can't get online, which I really need todo. Trouble is that it came bundled with the system (From Savastore.com) and it doesn't have any drivers with it. Also, when I insert the modem into a PCI slot it either isn't recognised or XP tells me that it is a Simple PCI Controller and that it cant find any drivers. Help!

No drivers??? OK, are there any distinguishing marks on the card? Usually there'll be SOMETHING silkscreened on to the PCB or on a sticky label that'll give a clue. Any chance of a photo (reasonable quality) of the card?

edit: If not, can you give some description of the chips on the card? e.g. labels thereon?

Sorry man, I got it sorted now, for some reason XP had installed the wrong drivers and I then reinstalled the drivers and it suddenly told me it was an Intel modem. Works fine now tho, very weird!
