The older I get, the faster I was.
I got one (really a Origo BRP-1400) and it works fine but the power brick gets pretty hot. I also hear that the print server only works with certain printers.
I also bought a Origo ASR-8000 to go with my pipex 512k and thats a different story!
I've put a couple of the ASR-800's in at client sites - very easy to configure.
Does what it says on the box - no frills router.
gah I remeber when my carpy alcatel frog modem cost me a ton

Cheers guys,
ERU - do you know which printers are more likely to work?

That router probably has some sort of ARM processor in it - and a sluggish one at that. So don't expect a lot from it.
I have no idea what printers would work, probably depends on the way they implement the USB interface, which I know nothing about really.
I've had mine for 2 months. Ebuyer were selling them for £18 inc VAT.
I'm using an NTL Broadband connection. I cloned the MAC address of the router with the one that I had registered with NTL.
Printerserver works OK with my HP inkjet.
The AC adapter does run hot.
See http://adsltech.com/origo/bbr1400/index.htm for more info.
Well it arrived yesterday, but I'm sending it back - instead of plugging my RJ11 in to the router and doing away with mu USB modem, it requires a RJ45 from the modem.
I will try something else. Anyone recommend a broadband router???
