    Broad band will not connect

    Hi Superior Techno chaps !

    I have a probem connecting onto BT broadband using a home hub. When I power up my machine and click on to the bt icon it comes up with "cannot connect to server" & it is the same when I try Internex Explorer BUT if I do a system restore and take it back a couple of month it connects straight away
    Buy my own confession I am a complete NUMB SKULLED IDIOT when it comes to computers and need assistance, can any body help in cyber world ! ROOK ON DUDES

    Tool > net options> connections > lan settings > auto detect settings is ticked

    Also dump the poo home hub

    Aaaaaaaaah Lan Settings, also tried that old chestnut, no difference it still does not connect.

    Any more ideas anybody ?

    If it connects when you roll back, what have you done/installed in the last two months? When did the problem start?

    I'm not familiar with BT's home hub, although the consensus of opinion is that it isn't very good, but I don't know if that is it's wireless capability or as a router.

    Have you tried uninstalling the BT software that came with it, and then re-installing it?

    Will try the re-install and let you cyber chaps know the outcome ! if I don,t top myself with frustration dudes
