    Cannot connect to broadband

    Hi Computer boffins, the Speed Demon requires expert assistance
    I have a problem when I try to connect to BT broadband using a home hub. When I turn on my machine and click onto the BT incon it come up with "cannot connect to server, please check connection" this also happens when I try Internet Explorer BUT if I do a system restore and take it back a couple of month it fires up straight away its a bit of a bind every time you want to connect.
    Can anybody with superior brain power help the SPEED DEMON on this one please
