    Adsl Isp

Hi all wonder if anyone can help me ?, I've decide i've had enough of my 56k connection and would like to get an ADSL connection. The ISP that i'm thinking of going with is Pipex does anyone have any info about them are they any good or should i look elsewhere ??. Also would i be better hooking the Modem up via my Ether Net port rather than the Usb port i'm thinking the latter ??, thats if the modem has that option. Any advice would be most appreciated thanks in advance cheer's.

Check out www.adslguide.org for any info on ADSL you could need.

Has for the router or Modem question, how many computers do you have? Do you need to share the internet connection with another computer? Or maybe you have an Xbox or PS2 that you use online.

If you are using the net for just one computer then I would say a USB modem would be fine, if not go with a router.

i have PIpex and its fantastic, always fast, very rare that the connection goes (with external router). It is also one of the cheapest ISPs but has a load of fat pipes so service is good. Just be aware that their tech support can take 20 min to get hold of by phone, but i'm not sure about email.

regarding the modem it depends on your situation, look at the previous post.

    Pipex or Zen

Zen are as good as Pipex but with much better support

I'f you want to go with Zen, drop me a PM and I'll sort out a (small) discount on the activation.

I also believe David (Hexus Owner type person ) is offering ADSL servies too

I'm using Pipex also and I must say I have not had a single glitch woth them yet! Its nice and fast as it can be and its very reliable. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
