Netgear DG834G v4 Wireless Problem

Hi, I've got one of the above ADSL routers which up until recently has been perfectly stable. In the last few days though it has been dropping the wireless connection for no reason. Sometimes it disappears altogether, other times you can see the network there but it won't connect. I've tried with both my laptop and SE c905 but the same happens. A power cycle sometimes works but not all the time. Anyone experienced this before, and if so, how do you fix it?

does the i light on the front go orange and none of the ethernet ports light up?
mine does that.. i just turn off my computer and leave the router for a bit, once the light turns green again it's good-to-go

The lights on the front are all green. I did have it sitting on it's feet for a bit, and it did get pretty hot, but I've stood it on its end now with no difference in service...

yeah, mine gets pretty hot aswell.. a good 40 or 50'C i'd say like.
you tried a firmware upgrade or anything like that?
or just turning it off overnight to let it cool all the way down to room temp?

Upgraded the firmware when I got it and there hasn't been a new release since, although I did re-install it today. I think switching it off overnight might be a good place to start, cheers.
