advised by LuckyNV and a few others on another forum, but need more specific details.
Im with AOL, im thinking if moving to o2 or Be, however, AOL the ******** say they need to disconnect me to give me my MAC code, ive asked twice and same thing, they need to disconnect me (cancel the service) if i want to change provider.

Ive been told that thats wrong doing, and ofcom or something has regulations which means that shouldnt happen, so, can someone help me? IO dont want to argue with them and turn out looking like a nut that knows nothing, so, what should i say to them if they try to disconnect me to give me my MAC code?

Say no and tell them to give you your mac code or you will take them to court? not sure what else to say :P.

From Ofcom ....

Did your phone call go something like this?

Common practice for AOL :P

Get that MAC code and switch! They've no right to deny you one. It might take time as they say they generate the code, I got mine within hours though.
